The Kid From Boston is a feature-length documentary about Terrence Clarke, a rising basketball star whose sudden death in 2021 left his hometown heartbroken. A five-star recruit (University of Kentucky, Brewster Academy) with NBA dreams, Terrence was determined to become Boston’s first homegrown superstar. Just weeks before the draft, that dream was tragically cut short.
Encompassing the sudden shift NIL compensation of college athletes, the commercialization of youth sports, and the meteoric rise of another Boston-area phenom in AJ Dybantsa, Terrence's story remains timely in an evolving basketball landscape.
Directed by Alex Stoddard, who grew up playing with Terrence, The Kid From Boston will resonate with anyone who loves the game of basketball. A short form version of the film was recently a selction at the 2026 NBA Summer League Film Festival.
